Abdul El-Sayed mocks Trump with pointed remark after historic Michigan Senate win

Abdul El-Sayed mocks Trump with pointed message amid Senate victory
Donald Trump lashed out at and mocked El-Sayed several times in the last week, including referring to his name. At one rally, the president called Abdul “Mohammed,” but in his victory speech, the now-Senator took revenge

Abdul El-Sayed pushed back against attacks over his identity and delivered a message about belonging in America, before directing a pointed remark at President Donald Trump.

First, Abdul took a swipe at Vice President JD Vance, saying, “Habibi, there is this delicious irony in the fact that you’re constitutionally obligated to swear me in, in January.”

Then, he turned to Donald Trump:

“Donald, I know you struggled with my name. So after JD swears me in in January, you can just go on and call me ‘Senator,’” El-Sayed said.

Donald Trump has not yet commented on Abdul El-Sayed’s victory-speech remark
