How to care for aging skin

Over time, our skin changes. It becomes thinner, drier, and sometimes marked by fine lines or brown spots. However, aging doesn’t mean giving up beauty or radiance. Often, a few simple, well-chosen actions are enough to help skin stay supple, radiant, and full of vitality.
Cleanse, moisturize, protect: the foundation of an effective anti-aging routine.

Aging skin needs softness… but also regularity. Like a beautiful plant, it needs daily care. Morning and nighttime cleansing helps remove impurities, excess sebum, and pollution residues that accelerate skin aging. Choose a gentle, alcohol-free cleanser and then use a toner to firm and soothe.

The next step, hydration, is essential. As we age, our skin loses water and lipids. A good moisturizer with hyaluronic acid, ceramides, or plant oils like jojoba, argan, or rosehip will be your best ally.

An anti-aging cream: yes, but choose it wisely!

There’s no need to accumulate bath treatments: effectiveness depends above all on regularity. A well-formulated anti-aging cream contains specific active ingredients such as retinol (vitamin A), vitamin C, or peptides. These ingredients stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, and reduce wrinkles.

Apply to clean skin, morning and night, using a light circular massage with your fingertips. This promotes the penetration of the active ingredients and reactivates blood circulation, a bit like “gently waking up the skin.”

Often forgotten areas: eye contour, lips, and neck
These areas are the most fragile and often reveal our age before the rest of the face. The eye contour area requires a specific, light, fragrance-free cream, applied from the inner corner to the outer corner.

As for the neck and décolleté, they deserve as much attention as the face. Apply your day and night cream to the base of your neck, without rubbing in, always massaging from bottom to top to support the tissues instead of attacking them.

Sun: your best friend… or your worst enemy

One of the main culprits of premature aging is well known: the sun. Its UV rays alter the skin’s structure, cause wrinkles, and promote the appearance of age spots. Whether in the city or at the beach, use sunscreen with a protection factor (SPF) of at least 30, even in winter.

And for even-toned skin, avoid prolonged exposure between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. and wear a wide-brimmed hat when outdoors.

The secret to radiant skin isn’t just in the jars of cream. This is also reflected on the plate. Antioxidants, found in berries, carrots, spinach, avocados, and green tea, fight free radicals responsible for cellular aging.

Also consider omega-3s (flaxseed oil, oily fish, chia seeds), which are excellent for skin elasticity, and zinc, which helps with regeneration. A natural yogurt
