Instructions
Preheat the oven
Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the beef and onion
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the meat is fully browned and the onion is soft.
Season and simmer
Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Add the beef broth and simmer for about 5 minutes, until most of the liquid has cooked off.
Prepare the buns
Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms connected.
Assemble the casserole
- Arrange the bottom halves of the buns in a single layer in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly over the buns.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese.
Top and bake
Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the buns are golden and the cheese is melted.
