This hearty and flavorful Sausage and Hash Brown Casserole is a perfect dish for breakfast, brunch, or even a simple dinner. It combines savory breakfast sausage, fluffy hash browns, cheese, and vegetables in a creamy egg base, all baked to golden brown perfection.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Breakfast sausage 1 pound
Frozen hash browns 1 (30-ounce) package, thawed
Shredded cheddar cheese 1 1/2 cups
Chopped onion 1/2 cup
Chopped bell pepper 1/2 cup
Milk 1 cup
Large eggs 4
Salt 1 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, thawed hash browns, 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, and chopped bell pepper.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, large eggs, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the hash brown mixture in the large bowl and stir until everything is well combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is set in the center and the top is golden brown.
  9. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
