👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep & Preheat
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8-inch pan or line with parchment paper.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

3. Cream Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes). Add egg and vanilla and mix until combined.

Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk, beginning and ending with flour. Mix gently until just combined. Fold in the drained raisins.

4. Bake
Spread batter evenly in the pan. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely before slicing.

5. Glaze (Optional)
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and cinnamon until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bars for a sweet finishing touch.
