
Chicago-Style Bakery Apple Slices

| Packed Light Brown Sugar | 1/2 cup |

| All-Purpose Flour | 3 tablespoons | 
| Lemon Juice | 2 tablespoons | 
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dough: Combine flour and salt. Cut in butter. Gradually add water. Knead into a ball. Divide into two portions, wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
 - Prepare the Filling: Toss apples with sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, and lemon juice.
 - Roll Out the Dough: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 10×15-inch pan. Roll out one dough disk, transfer to pan.
 - Add the Filling: Spread apple filling over the dough.
 - Roll Out the Top Crust: Roll out the second dough disk, place over the filling. Seal edges. Brush with egg wash. Cut slits.
 - Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and apples are tender.
 - Cool and Serve: Let cool in the pan. Serve warm or at room temperature.
