This slow cooker pasta dish is a comforting and flavorful meal that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner. The caramelized onions add a rich and sweet depth to the sauce, while the herbs and Parmesan cheese provide a delightful balance of flavors.
Ingredients:

| Sugar (optional) | 1 tsp | 
| Garlic, minced | 4 cloves | 
| Dried thyme | 1/2 tsp | 
| Dried rosemary | 1/2 tsp | 
| Dry white wine or vegetable broth | 1/4 cup | 
| Pasta (your favorite) | 1 lb | 
| Grated Parmesan cheese | 1/2 cup | 
| Fresh parsley, chopped | For garnish | 
| Salt and pepper | To taste | 
Instructions:
- Slice onions thinly.
 - Add onions, olive oil or butter, salt, and sugar to slow cooker. Stir to combine.
 - Cook on low for 8-10 hours, stirring occasionally.
 - About 30 minutes before onions are done, add garlic, thyme, rosemary, and white wine or vegetable broth.
 - Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
 - Combine caramelized onions with cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
 - Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
 - Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
