Ingredients:
| Ingredient | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Unsalted butter, melted | 1 cup |
| Flour | 2 cups |
| Granulated sugar | 0.5 cups |
| Baking soda | 0.5 teaspoons |
| Salt | 0.25 teaspoons |
| Eggs | 2 large |
| Sweetened condensed milk | 1 can (14 ounces) |
| Lemon juice | 0.5 cups (2-3 lemons) |
| Lemon zest | 1 tablespoon |
| Powdered sugar (optional) | For sprinkling |
Instructions:
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper to ensure easy removal of the bars.
 - Mix Sugar and Butter: In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar and melted butter until light and airy.
 - Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter-sugar mixture, stirring until a crumbly texture forms.
 - Prepare the Crust: Reserve 1 cup of the crumble mixture for the topping. Press the remaining mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
 - Prepare the Filling: In another bowl, beat the eggs until thick and lemon-colored. Add the sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and lemon zest, and mix well.
 - Assemble the Bars: Pour the lemon filling over the crust and spread evenly. Sprinkle the reserved crumble mixture over the top.
 - Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is slightly golden.
 - Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
